New Relic Expands Enterprise AI Adoption with No-Code Agentic Platform
View original sourceNew Relic, a data observability company, has introduced its AI agent platform aimed at facilitating AI adoption in enterprises by building and monitoring AI agents. The platform, called New Relic Agentic Platform, was unveiled on Tuesday and allows companies to:
- Create no-code AI agents to monitor data and catch issues before they disrupt operations.
- Deploy prebuilt agents and manage existing bots.
- Use the Model Context Protocol (MCP) to connect AI applications with external data sources and other New Relic tools.
Brian Emerson, the new chief product officer at New Relic, clarified that the platform is specifically for observability, not a general-purpose tool, and it integrates with existing tools in the ecosystem. This is part of a broader trend where companies are developing software solutions to manage AI agents securely.
Other major players, such as Salesforce and OpenAI, have recently launched similar platforms, making AI agent platforms a crucial element for enterprises, as noted by Gartner. New Relic has also released tools focusing on OpenTelemetry (OTel), enabling enterprises to manage various data streams effectively and address previous fragmentation issues in the adoption of the OTel framework.
