Anthropic, an artificial intelligence (AI) research company, is involved in a legal confrontation with the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD). The situation escalated on Tuesday evening when the DOD labeled Anthropic an “unacceptable risk to national security,” a move following the AI lab’s lawsuit against the department's earlier decision to label the company a supply-chain threat.
